Stonecare4U Anti-Condensation Paint is a heat modified acrylic copolymer emulsion paint which is suitable for internal walls and ceilings. This paint is recommended for use in bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and more; with it helping to significantly reduce the build up of condensation as well as assisting to prevent the growth of mould on the surface. Stonecare4U’s Anti-Condensation Paint is available in two sizes, 2.5 litre and 5 litre, and 10 different colours to give a spectacular finish every time. This product is ideal for use on surfaces lacking insulation or on cold external facing walls.
This products formula consists of microscopic cenospheres or ‘beads’ that help to increase the surface temperature of the surface it is applied to, which therefore solves a commonly reoccurring issue of mould and condensation build-up. A strong fungicide is also included in the formula to help with inhibiting further growth of mould black spots and more.
Stonecare4U’s Anti-Condensation Paint is used time and time again to balance the level of condensation that can be found in bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms. The development of black spot mould will be controlled and inhibited by the dual-purpose anti-condensation paint. Human health can be at risk when black spot mould is allowed to develop and spread across interior walls and ceilings; also, being very unsightly. The spores from black spot mould are particularly dangerous to people who suffer with asthma or persistent breathing problems.
Benefits of this product include:
- Inhibits further black spot mould growth.
- Can reduce condensation levels by up to 95%.
- Can improve the quality of air within the home.
Stonecare4U’s Anti-Condensation Paint is not a complete substitute for suitable air circulation within the household and we strongly recommend to not use this product where there is extreme or uncontrolled condensation that has been left to build-up over time.
This product is only suitable for internal use and should not be used on heated surfaces, such as radiators etc.
SURFACE PREPARATION
For best results, any surfaces the anti-condensation paint is being applied to, should be clean, dry, and free from surface contaminants.
- Clean & Neutralise any Mould or Mildew
Any walls and ceilings which show signs of black spot mould infestation, should be cleaned thoroughly with Stonecare4U Grout Mould Cleaner first.
- Make good any surface defects
Any surface defects should be filled before the anti-condensation paint is applied. Ideally this should be done using a good quality plaster filler that can be found in most DIY stores.
- Painting over Existing Paint
Stonecare4U anti-condensation paint will easily cover the majority of Matt-finish emulsions. However, please be aware of painting over some eggshell, silk and vinyl finish paints which are historically resistant to overpainting.
- Existing Stains
Long standing black spot mould infestations can permanently stain or blacken a surface such as plaster, timber or existing paint. In instances like this, it may be advisable to subsequently decorate to help disguise and hide the staining.
APPLICATION
- Stir thoroughly prior to use.
- Apply by brush or roller at least 2 coats of Stonecare4U Anti-Condensation Paint. If trying to coat dark or strong colours, an additional coat may be required to totally disguise original colour.
