Quick Drying Formula - Forms A Satin/Gloss, Durable Stain-Resistant Coating!
SANDSTONE SEALER SATIN FINISH is a high-performance stone sealer formulated especially for natural sandstone surfaces (*exceptions apply). In addition, it's also suitable for other porous natural stones such as slate and limestone. It provides a hard-wearing, attractive satin finish, that can intensify natural colours and offers high-quality stain protection.
Sandstone Sealer Satin Finish is a professional-grade sealer for quality natural sandstone* surfaces. The safe, eco-friendly formula is a protective sealer that creates a durable, clear satin finish. Therefore, it provides high-quality protection that prevents stains and general grime & dirt from penetrating into the surface, making it easier to clean and maintain. Moreover, Sandstone Sealer Satin Finish is quick-drying and easy to apply.
HOW TO APPLY:
- Importantly, remove any loose debris from the work surface and ensure you have adequate safety wear, i.e. gloves, suitable protective eyewear, face mask & clothing.
- Leave the surface for a minimum of 72 hours with clear and dry weather to ensure the surface is completely dry and ready to be sealed. Application temperature range: 15° to 23°C
- Apply Sandstone Sealer Satin Finish thinly and evenly with a low-pressure sprayer, micro-fibre mop, paintbrush or soft cloth. Take care not to leave application marks or allow the product to puddle on the surface. Do not dilute.
- Allow 45-60 minutes drying time before applying the second coat, repeating the same process; apply the product in the opposite direction to help to achieve an even consistent finish. If necessary, more coats can be applied to achieve the desired “gloss” finish.
Please Note: Sandstone Sealer Satin Finish may change the colour/appearance of some surfaces - always try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Surfaces that are not to be sealed should be protected with masking material.
*Please note this product is not suitable for Kandla Grey (mid & light grey) sandstone.
MAINTENANCE:
Clean sealed areas with a mild, ph neutral cleaner or a very low concentration of our outdoor cleaner range. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents as this can have a negative effect on the treated surface. Sandstone Sealer Satin Finish NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON HIGHLY POLISHED STONE & CERAMIC GLAZED SURFACES.

- Average 4 - 6 sq metres per litre.
- Coverage will vary depending on surface porosity.

Q: Does this product leave the surface slippy ?
A: On a smooth surface, it could make it more slippery.
Q: I have just used your Natural Stone Cleaner on my Indian Sandstone paving. BRILLIANT! When it is dry I need your Satin finish Sandstone Sealer to be applied. Your instructions quote 4 to 6 sqm per litre coverage, is this per single coat? You recommend 2 to 4 coats depending on porosity, the more coats added the less porous the stone becomes and I have 50 sqm to cover. How much should I order?
A: I would suggest ordering 10 litres as two thin coats is normally sufficient for that size area to create the desired finish. However, if you wanted to add another coat at a later date you could always order more in the future.
Q: How long will the sandstone sealer last before it needs to be reapplied?
A: It will depend on the amount of wear the surface gets but on average a top up coat every 3-5 years would be advisable.

After an email exchange with Harry Nolan who was a great help, I bought two samples, 1, Essential Sandstone Sealer Satin & 2, XXXXXXXXX I jet washed the test areas twice & vacuumed the slabs to be treated, the Sealer Satin finish seemed to enhance the colour well, sadly item 2, XXXX didn’t work so well on my slabs. Application of the liquid is so easy. like painting water, so easy. I have tried several slabs and all give very favourable results. We are a retired household of no pets or kids and only live here part time, so wear will mainly be down to UV. I will write an update in 12 & 24 months time to show how well this lasts. Picture show tested slabs surrounded by untreated slabs. More pictures will follow shortly.
