SANDSTONE SEALER MATT (dry) FINISH is a high-performance stone sealer formulated especially for external natural sandstone surfaces. Also suitable for other porous natural stones such as limestone and slate.
SANDSTONE SEALER MATT (dry) FINISH provides excellent water repellency and long-lasting protection. Once sealed, the attractive matt finish helps to prevent efflorescence, green growth and algae growth and creates a self-cleaning surface tension that reduces the need for regular maintenance.
The safe, eco-friendly formula imparts excellent water repellency and stain resistance. The unique formula of Sandstone Sealer Matt (dry) Finish significantly reduces the capillary water absorption of the treated surface but doesn’t clog the pores or capillaries. This significantly reduces the potential for organic soiling and green growth and algae growth whilst allowing the surface material the ability to “breathe” and transfer moisture vapour.
HOW TO APPLY:
- Importantly, remove any loose debris from the work surface and ensure you have adequate safety wear, i.e. gloves, suitable protective eyewear, face mask & clothing.
- Leave the surface for a minimum of 72 hours with clear and dry weather to ensure the surface is completely dry and ready to be sealed. Application temperature range: 13° to 23°C
- Therefore, before application, the surface must be completely clean and dry. Application methods include a low-pressure sprayer, roller, natural fibre brush or sponge.
- Apply Sandstone Sealer Matt (dry) Finish to saturation, two coats “wet on wet” are needed to ensure complete coverage. DO NOT DILUTE. The surface should be dry after 45-60 minutes. If rain is forecast or starts, then stop treatment immediately and cover the freshly impregnated areas, the surface is required to stay completely dry for the first 6 hours after application.
Please Note: Sandstone Sealer Matt (dry) Finish may cause a change of colour on some surfaces - always try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use. Surfaces that are not to be sealed should be protected with masking material.
MAINTENANCE:
Clean sealed areas with a mild, ph neutral cleaner or a very low concentration of our outdoor cleaner range. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents, as this can have a negative effect on the treated surface. SANDSTONE SEALER MATT (dry) FINISH NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON HIGHLY POLISHED, CERAMIC/GLAZED, DENSE OR NON-POROUS SURFACES.

- Average 4-6sq metres per litre.
- Coverage will vary depending on surface porosity.

P305+351+338: IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
P309+311: IF exposed or if you feel unwell: Call a POISON CENTRE or doctor.
P332+313: If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice.
P337+313: If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice.
Q: How soon after laying the sandstone should the sealer be applied? Is a one or two coat sealant?
A: I would suggest leaving it for 8-10 weeks to allow any efflorescence to come out of the stone prior to sealing.

If you need your delivery before the weekend, then please make sure you place your order using the NEXT WORKING DAY Delivery no later than 1 pm on Wednesday.
We would also like to make you aware that our couriers DO NOT deliver at weekends or on Bank Holidays, so the NEXT WORKING DAY Delivery service is restricted to Monday-Friday only (excluding Bank Holidays).
